Dr Seuss Class will be a fun learning experience for grades K-1. Students will learn about planets, solar systems, Insects, eggs, farms, voting, dogs, cats, dinosaurs, sharks, sea creatures and so much more. Students will learn through reading, discussion and crafts.

Each Herb Fairies book tells its own enchanting story, and together, they weave a magical tale. Our 13-book series and learning system are designed to guide you through the seasons, teaching you about the wonderful world of plants. Students will learn about medicinal plants with stories, and crafts; and will make their own "magic keeper's journal" to take home

Economics with the Tuttle Twins!

An introduction to all different types of engineering. We will learn about civil, mechanical, electrical, software, and more. The objective of the class is to allow your students to explore engineering, learn to problem solve and work in teams, and of course, have fun! It will mainly be in-class work, so participation in class is a significant portion of the grade. There will also be a coding unit, so students need to have access to a computer at home.

This class is a deep dive into the reliability of Biblical gospel accounts to determine whether they hold up as truthful history. We will elarn how to clearly explain and defend our faith using logic and evidence. I also want this to be an open environment where skepticism is not only welcome but encouraged, where kids can openly say something that doesn’t make sense or they may not agree. The goal is to take us past Sunday-school answers to develop a deeper rooted faith they can stand firm on.

This is a hands-on enrichment course designed for students in grades 4-6. Students learn the basics of woodworking in a simple classroom setting using safe, age-appropriate hand tools. Throughout the year, they explore wood grain, measuring, design, sanding, drilling, gluing, joining, and fastening while building fun, practical projects.

As students progress, they’ll build projects such as personalized plaques, coasters, a bird feeder, a desk caddy, and a rubber-band paddle boat, while discovering the science, math, and engineering behind woodworking. The year ends with a creative final project and a woodworking showcase — giving students the opportunity to celebrate their skills, creativity, and the satisfaction of saying, “I made that!”

In this course we will investigate NY History from its inception to the present. We will touch on all major historical points through videos, hands-on projects, and relevant local field trips. (Outside of the co-op day and optional.) Please send a 1/2 inch binder for hand outs.

Come sing and learn as a group! We will study singing together, finding your best vocal range, teaching basic harmonies, and practice singing hymns and other songs. No singing experience required!

We will be using Exploring Creation with General Science, 3rd Edition, from Apologia curriculum. You may find it helpful to be following the lessons in this book at home, but you do not need to be taking this class at home to participate in the lab.

We will be doing 2 or more experiments from each module as time and material allows. Students are expected to participate in all of the labs, and keep their own lab notebooks. This is lab only, and will not fill a whole science credit.

This class is for students who have completed beginning sewing and have had an invite from me or have talked to me about your sewing experience. If you have any questions, please reach out to me (Ellyn).

This year, we will be continuing our sewing journey with a few more advanced projects. We will start the year with some quilted placemats that should take us through Christmas or possibly the end of January. We will then make an apron in the  style of the student’s choosing. If there is time, we will make a lap quilt. 

For this class, you will need a sewing machine, rotary cutter, sewing scissors, safety pins, seam ripper, sewing ruler, cutting mat(at least 24x15. But bigger is better) and chalk. 

Ongoing expenses will include fabric, batting and thread. 

This is a class students need to be committed to. It is really hard to catch up if they miss multiple classes during the session. Please only sign up if your family plans to attend most weeks. 

There is a place to store sewing machines and accessories at co-op but there will be weeks when there is homework for the class.

This course introduces the core building blocks of music theory. This class focuses on 3 music concepts: pitch, rhythm, and musical appreciation. Students will explore pitch notation, the musical alphabet, and intervals while simultaneously mastering rhythm fundamentals, tempo, and time signatures. Students will be introduced to different musical composition to listen to and develop an appreciation for music.

$5 cost for the workbook, printing fee.

We are still in process of getting this going. Go ahead and sign your student up, and we’ll keep you posted. They will be in study hall for the beginning of class, until the teachers are lined up. If you want your student to take driver’s ed… register them for this, not study hall.

Recommended for 11th-12th Grade

Consumer Math for Real Life is a high school math curriculum recommended for 11th or 12th grade that fulfills an entire math credit while teaching skills your student will use in the real world. From creating a budget, to writing a business plan, to planning and calculating the cost to floor a room, this course teaches math from a practical perspective.

Co-op has a license for printing the required book. $25/student if you want a copy. They’ll need a binder to keep the pages in.

Body language, voice inflection, know your audience, What if you don’t really know the topic?, mannerisms, personal habits, job interviews, conversation starters and continuers…. Lots of practice in class with lots of feedback and then more practice. Believe it or not- it’ll actually be fun!
