Lewis County Homeschool Connection (LCHC)
We are Lewis County Homeschool Connection (LCHC), the local chapter of Homeschool NY/LEAH. Our vision is to support and encourage homeschooling families in their educational journeys by fostering meaningful connections within the community.
We believe that the responsibility of educating and preparing children for the future rests with parents—whether they choose to homeschool or pursue other educational paths.
At LCHC, we offer a variety of opportunities to build relationships and share experiences, including field trips, gym nights, hiking days, moms’ nights, bonfires, and more.

Our History & Community
Lewis County Homeschool Connection (LCHC) is a volunteer-led organization dedicated to supporting homeschooling families in Lewis County and surrounding areas. Under its umbrella, we offer multiple programs—including E.V.E.R. Homeschool Hybrid and C.L.A.S.S. Homeschool Co-op—that provide a range of educational opportunities tailored to meet diverse family needs.
Our programs meet at Abundant Life Community Church, United Methodist Church, and the Christian Community Center in the Lowville area. We are so blessed to utilize their facilities as they provide us welcoming spaces for classes, events, and community gatherings. Our goal is to foster a supportive environment where families can grow academically, socially, and spiritually together. This collaborative approach strengthens both the educational experience and the bonds within our homeschooling community.
Our Statements of Faith
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, divinely preserved Word of God, the supreme and final authority for all faith and life.
Creation
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only those who put their faith in Jesus Christ alone, not trusting in any personal works whatsoever, can be saved. We believe that God created man and woman after His own Image, and that God has ordained marriage, consisting of one man and one woman, to be the foundation of the family and to be the only legitimate and Godly expression of sexuality.
One God
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Salvation & The Holy Spirit
We believe that salvation is the free gift of God brought to the sinner by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Whose substitutionary death on the cross paid the penalty for man’s sin. We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convict mankind; indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.
Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, and His imminent bodily return in power and glory.
Unity in Believers
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers through our common faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that individual doctrinal differences which may exist, outside of the aforementioned (Article IV Sections 1-7), should not hinder the unity of Christian home educators.
We are deeply grateful to the staff and congregation of Abundant Life Community Church of Lowville, the United Methodist Church, and the Christian Community Center for generously providing a home for our programs. Their support and hospitality make it possible for us to offer a vibrant, faith-centered learning community.
